Vedavyas Campus of Central Sanskrit University (CSU), New Delhi is situated in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Himachal Pradesh is a state of pristine natural beauty, pure and perfect that's why it is called Devbhumi. Politically and geographically, the land faced many upheavels. As a political entity it came into existence on 15th April 1948, as a Union Territory of India. It was constituted by integrating many smaller princely states known as Punjab Hill States. In 1954, some more parts were added, further after reorganization of Punjab in 1966 few more parts were annexed to it. Finally Himachal Pradesh was given statehood on 25th January, 1971 with Shimla as its capital. Balahar village is located in Dehra Gopipur tehsil of Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh, India. It is situated 65km away from district headquarter Dehra Gopipur. Dehra Gopipur is the sub-district headquarter of Balahar village. As per 2009 stats, Pragpur is the gram panchayat of Balahar village. The total geographical area of village is 33.12 hectares. Balahar has a total population of 8 peoples, out of which male population is 6 while female population is 2.
